PRETORIA, South Africa Oscar Pistorius appeared in a South African court Tuesday for a hearing ahead of his murder trial, who killed his girlfriend on Valentine's Day.
Wearing a dark suit, the double-amputee Olympian arrived through the front entrance of the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on Tuesday as hordes of photographers jostled for position with his security entourage and police.

The prosecution requested a postponement until Aug. 19 so that it can investigate, and the magistrate approved the request. Pistorius will remain free on bail.
The presiding magistrate warned the world's news organizations against speculating on the facts of the case, suggesting there was a risk of "trial by media" in the case.
Pistorius has said he killed girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp by mistake, believing she was an intruder in his home. Prosecutors have said he killed her after an argument.
Pistorius won an appeal against some of his strict bail restrictions and had been more active recently while awaiting trial for Steenkamp's killing. His family said in April that he had been spending time with people lose to his late girlfriend.
